GLEN DICK, QUADRIPLEGIC MOUTH PAINTING ARTIST.
Having always loved nature and drawing, I graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in Landscape Architecture. One year later, I broke my neck at C4/5 and became paralyzed from the chest down. For 20 years, I let the fact that I couldn't use my hands keep me from doing what I loved. A couple of years ago, I began taking classes at ArtMuse in Doylestown, PA and discovered my ability to paint with my mouth. I concentrate my artwork on the beauty and solace I find in nature and the wonder of seeing it through my daughter’s eyes. Each painting is a labor of love and provides me with a sense of accomplishment I no longer thought possible after my accident.
Being an advocate for disability education, I also published my first children’s book in 2016, “We Can Go Anywhere: My Adventures on Daddy’s Chair", which is available for purchase on Amazon.
I was born and raised in Doylestown, PA and currently live in Chalfont, PA with my wife and 8 year-old daughter.
Thank you for visiting my site and viewing my artwork,
Glen
